Hello!
It's good to be back with a haul for you! It's been very lovely here in Colorado. This lovely weather has inspired me to start decorating my home all springy and adding some color. Lately I have been in love with candles so I decided that today I would look for some fun springy scented candles to help add little pops of color and prettiness around my apartment. I have also gotten a few new makeup items that I wanted to share with you as well! Let's begin, shall we?
The first candle of that haul is the Voluspa Mokara Coconut Wax Bougie Parfumee candle. Phew! That's a mouth full...I've just been calling it the little white candle. I found this at Anthropologie. I have been in that store a few times and remembered that they had a really cute home goods section but it is a bit on the spendy side. (At least for me it was.) So, I got all the small candles that were pretty cheap just to test them out before I get the big versions. Now, I haven't burned any of the candles I am talking about in this haul yet so my views on the scents may change, but this candle claims to smell like coconut but when I opened it and sniffed I thought it had a very strong lavender scent. That's mainly why I bought it..I'm not a fan of coconut.
Look at how friggin' cute this candle is!! I bought this mainly for the color and pattern, but the scent is one that I really like as well. This candle is also from Anthropologie and is the Capri Blue candle in Oasis Blossom. The scent is a very light, floral, fresh scent that I feel would be perfect in my bathroom. It's slightly on the soapy side when it comes to scents, which I really, really don't like, but it wasn't too powerful so I think it will smell nicely when it's burning. But, oh my goodness, just look at the tin! I can't get over how cute it is!!! :D
This is the last candle I purchased today, and yes, I purchased it because of it's color! The fragrance is quite lovely as well, though. This is the Urban Outfitters fragranced candle in Solar Blossom. The scent on this candle is fairly strong so I'm not sure if I'm going to like it so much when it's burning..it smells very, very good though. It's a fresh kind of lemon type fragrance with hints of..I don't know how to explain this...grassy scent? Lemon grass? Is that a thing? Just know that it smells beautifully but a bit strongly.
The next home goods item I had gotten today are bowls! I know this is a bit random but I am currently trying to get all my kitchen ware to be the same stuff. Right now I have such a mish-mosh of bowls, glasses, plates, and silverware and I am tired of it! I want all of my things to be the same brand! I know that may seem kind of odd but it's just how I am. These bowls are my starter items in my "make everything the same" operation for my kitchen. I got these two bowls at Crate and Barrel and just adore the color. There are many other colors in plates and other bowls that I plan on getting in the future. I just wanted to start with these because A: they were really cheap and B: I need more bowls.
That's the last of my home type things I had picked up today. Now on to the makeup items! These things I actually purchased earlier this week so pardon my dirty brush..
This is the Sephora Bronzer brush! (eewww, fat fingers!) This is probably my new powder brush now! It's such a dense, round brush that is really great and evenly applying bronzer to my face. I highly recommend this to all of you who are looking for a nice brush!
I couldn't get a bronzer brush without purchasing some bronzer, right? Right! This is the Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Bakes Powder in Bronze 02. I had never used this before but so far I am really enjoying it. I am very pail and have had some bad experiences in the past with bronzer making me look muddy or like I just had dirt on my face. This does not do that to me at all. It really works well for contouring and just giving me a little bit of color in the areas that I need it. The little pod is the Laura Mercier Highlighter sampler that the clerk had nicely given to me to give it a try. I highly recommend the highlighter to everyone! It's so, so beautiful and just makes my skin look so healthy and pretty!
The last item! This is what I have been the most excited to talk about! It is the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Monte Blanc. Oh, my, god! I could not rave about this foundation enough! This foundation gives me just the right amount of coverage and is long lasting without leaving my face feeling weighed down and cakey. A little goes a very long way for my face so I know this bottle is going to last me quite awhile and I just adore it!!
Well, that's it! That's my little home goods haul with the bit of makeup at the end. Please let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions of other things you think I would enjoy! I am always interested in what you readers have that you love so I may try them out myself. Don't forget to subscribe to my blog if you enjoyed reading!

Small J Crew/ Foreve 21 Haul
Hello!
I know it has been a few days since I have posted anything. I do apologize for that! To make up for it I thought I was do a small haul for you! When I say small I mean small. I haven't really gone out and done a lot of shopping lately so I figured I would show you some things I have collected over the last few weeks. I do plan on leaving links to where you can find these items if you are interested in getting them for yourself! I also want to apologize for the pictures not looking as snazzy as they have in my past posts. It's a rainy day today so I didn't have any natural light and I didn't want to over edit them and change the colors of the items I am about to talk about! My next ones will be back to their lovely, edited selves!
So my first item on the list are these two absolutely lovely, blue Mason Jars that I had picked up from Target. Unfortunately I could not find these exact jars on their website but I did link it to where you can find all of the jars Target has to offer. These two jars where on their clearance shelves and were only $3.00! I snagged them up so fast! As you can see I have started using one to hold my makeup brushes but I have not found a use for the other one yet...I was thinking of putting some nail polish's in them but I haven't decided. Help me think of something to put in them, guys!
Speaking of nail polish, I grabbed a couple new colors! These are the Forever 21 Nail Color in Rose Petal and Turquoise. So far I have only used Rose Petal and I am not impressed. The color is lovely but I had to put 4 coats on until it really covered the whites of my nails! That is not good. I haven't tried Turquoise out yet but just from looking the paint on the brush I can tell it is much more pigmented and thicker. You can't beat the price of $2.80 though!
Scarves! Scarves are probably my favorite accessory! I picked up these two at Forever 21 as well! The scarf on the left is the No-Fuss Marled Infinity Scarf. It's a lovely heather grey scarf in a light t-shirt material! Now, I live in Colorado and so my spring time still has a few days of snow fall so this scarf is perfect! It's not a big knit scarf that is way too warm or a thin, silky scarf that really does nothing. It's the perfect in between and it was only $9.80! The scarf on the right is the Remixed Plain Tassel Scarf. This is another light weight scarf that I loved as well! It's navy blue and white (those are probably my two favorite color combo) and has some very cute tassels that are fun to play with. Price of this scarf? $10.80!
Next item on the list is this lovely shirt! This is the Southwest Bound Knit Tee by Forever 21. Coming in at only $13.80, this is one of my favorite shirts I now own! I'm even wearing it right now! The print is what really drew me towards it in the store and the fact that it's kind of a flowy, light weight tee. Perfect for the warm spring days or to layer with on the colder rainy days. (Like today!) I have been adding the No-Fuss Infinity Scarf to this shirt and LOVE it!
And last, but not least, is this plain grey t-shirt from J Crew. I could not find this shirt ANYWHERE online to link it for you. I found this in store on the clearance rack for only $6.00 so it may have been exclusive to that store only. I have been really loving grey lately and just thought it was a really great value for a really nice, quality shirt. It matches with pretty much everything and anything! I just recently wore this shirt with my skinny white pants and the navy blue/white plaid scarf and just loved the over all look of the outfit!
That's it! My mini haul! I hope you liked these items and found my small reviews on them helpful! Please let me know that you think my commenting below and don't forget to subscribe to my blog!

Just Being Girly Pt. 3
Hello!
Today is the day! I get to talk about my absolute favorite type of makeup! EYE MAKEUP! *woot* So, again, I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP ARTIST! I am not trained. I just use what I like and want to rave about all the products so that you, my lovely reader, may want to go out and try them yourself and do some raving of your own! I want to do the same type of layout that I had done last night where I give the products price and link it to the store where I had purchased it. I like to make things easy for you! Please, please, please let me know what you think about any of the following products or inform me of some products that you think I may like! I am always on the hunt for some more eye stuff and am really interested in what all of you think!
Alright! Enough of that! Let's get started!!!
In my opinion, the most important part of doing your eye makeup is to have a strong base. If you are having problems with your eye shadow smudging or not lasting all day I would highly recommend you use an eye primer. I am currently using Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Original. This stuff is AHMAHZING! I originally started using an e.l.f eye primer and was kind of "eh" about the whole idea. One of the amazing YouTubers I watch (Jackie Wyers, please go check her out) used this particular primer in her tutorial videos so I figured I would give it a try. I could not be happier with that decision. A little goes a long way with this potion so the tube is going to last me a very long time. That eases my mind when I fork out 12 dollars for it. It's an incredibly light feeling, long lasting primer that does not crease or smudge. I wish I could use it all over my face!
The next item that I use is the e.l.f Eyebrow Kit. I love filling in my drabby little eyebrows, but I do have to say that I have used better products to do so. The e.l.f kit is not horrible. I love how it comes with a gel filler and a powder filler, but sometimes I feel like the gel will make my eyebrows feel too waxy and the powder just doesn't really match my color. This kit only comes in one color and I don't much care for that. The only thing that got me using it was the fact that it was another $3 product. Oh e.l.f...you suck me in with those low prices.
At this point I am ready to start applying some shadow but I have to have the right tools to do that with! Now, I do not have upscale shadow brushes. This is one of those parts about my collection that I want to slowly change but I just can't bring myself to spend the money quite yet. I do have one upscale eye brush and that is another M-A-C brush that I also stole from my mom before moving. (Sorry again, mom!)
Starting from left to right:
M-A-C 224 Tapered Blending Brush- This is one of your standard fluffy brushes that I mainly use to soften up the harshness of dark shadows or to add some highlighting shadows to my brown bone and the corner of my eye. It is M-A-C and is a bit spendy at $32.
Now, the next 4 brushes are brushes that I have randomly collected over the years. The second to the left brush is the two ended brush that came in the Naked 2 pallet. The sparkly brush and the last two white brushes are all e.l.f brushes that are $1 each and have been collected sporadically over the years. Little $1 brushes do the job but are mainly the reason on why I would like to get some higher end ones.
Now that I have all my brushes out and ready it's time to apply the shadows! My first go-to shadow is Kitten by Stila. This is one of my absolute favorite little shadows because it's a really great highlighter! It's a pinky/champagne color with a lot of shimmer that goes great in the corner of my eye and my right under my brows. Lately, however, I have been using it all over my lid as well for a very nice, bright, eye opening color. This is a pricier shadow at $18 but I believe it is worth the extra cash!
The next shadow that I use comes from my Urban Decay Naked 2 pallet. I had received my pallet as a Christmas gift last year and have not stopped using it since!! It's crazy good! The shadows are so pigmented and really last all day when paired withe the primer potion I had mentioned earlier. Not all of the colors in the pallet are quite my taste but I have used most of them so far. My main shadow to go for is called Tease (which is a matte light brown) and I like to put this in the crease of my eye to give some definition and depth to my eye and kind of balance out the shimmer of Kitten. Tease is the 5th shadow from the left if that helps!
Every now and then I will also use a favorite Covergirl eye shadow collection of mine called Shimmering Sands. This little pallet has a very pretty light pink highlight that I like to use instead of Kitten every now and then because it isn't SOOO shimmery. It's also only $3.24! You can't beat that! I am also a fan of the Physicians Formula Nude pallet. (Can you tell I've got a thing for nudes?) This is only $7.19 and has some really pretty darker shades that I like to use when I want to do more of a smokey eye. Although, I do have to say that these colors are not very pigmented and I do find myself having to get lots on the brush for it to really work on my eyes.
Last, but not least, EYELINER! Using eyeliner is probably my most favorite part of doing my eye makeup each morning. I am a big fan of liquid liner and making that little "flick" at the outer corner of my eye. The eyeliner and I love is the e.l.f Liquid Liner in black. (Oh my gosh, and e.l.f product I actually like!) I have used all sorts of gel liners/ liquid liners from many other brands and I have yet to find one that tops the e.l.f liner. It's only $2 and lasts all day! It's also one of the easiest liners I have ever used. I never mess up or smudge my line because it has a wonderful applicator that is very thin and pointed. This makes for very precise lines and flicks. I also love using the e.l.f pencil liner to smudge into my water line when I am going for the smokey eye look. I did have one person ask me from Facebook (hi Nikki!) what a good liquid liner would be and I would for sure recommend the e.l.f brand! It may not work for everyone, but I would at least give it a try. It's not like it will break the bank! ;) My mascara that I have been using lately is the Maybelline Volume Express Falsies Mascara. This mascara is only $4.99 and really does the trick for me. I love the size of the wand for this particular mascara because it's a bit smaller and curved so it's easy to get my lashes really covered. One drawback is that this mascara if not used well can really clump.
And there you have it! My whole eye makeup collection and routine! I hope you enjoyed this and learned some facts about some products that you may be on the fence about getting. Please, please, please let me know what you thought about these products! I am always interested in hearing what others think. Also, if you have any questions for me please feel free to ask away and I will do my best to answer!
My next post will be up soon!

Just Being Girly Pt. 2
Hi!
As I had promised in my last post, here is my foundation/ face makeup collection and routine. As you can see I am a drugstore makeup girl. I have used one upscale foundation from Clinique that I did not like at all. That kind of left a bad taste in my mouth for the higher brands so I have gone back to the drugstore brands and have found some products that I really enjoy. As I go through the products I like I will let you know the price of each and also have them linked to where you may purchase them for yourself. Again, I want to mention that I am not an expert in makeup or have any sort of training! These are just products that I have found to really work for me and wanted to talk a bit about!
First, lets talk about my brushes!
M-A-C 150- This is one of the more pricey brushes at $42, but I stole this brush from my mom before I moved to Colorado. (Sorry mom!) I mainly use this brush for my setting powder (which I will go into more detail later). I used to use it as my blush brush but I found it was too big for my face to do that.
Sephora Mineral Powder 45- $24. The other two brushes are the same. I use one for my foundation and one for my blush. They are the perfect size for applying foundation and blush!
Beauty Blender- $19.95. This is the best invention in all of makeup land! You simply wet the beauty blender until it gets to size, pat dry it with a towel and use it for any liquid foundation or concealer. I leaves your skin looking so dewy and flawless. I mainly use it for my concealer and absolutely adore it!
Next are my go to concealer, foundation, and setting powder.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer- $7.99. I have just recently started using this and am not sure what to think yet. I am trying to find a concealer that doesn't crease and still have yet to find one. This one does crease but not as badly as some of the last products I have used. I do like the little sponge applicator though. That's handy.
Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation- $9.49. This is my absolute go to foundation! I cannot rave enough about it! It covers so well and it lasts all day without primer! It blends well and matches very true to my skin tone. Love, love, LOVE this foundation!
Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder- I want to say this was around $7 but do not quote me on that. I mainly use this powder to set my foundation and concealer. Sometimes the foundation can make my skin look a little oily so this powder really helps matte things out and set everything to my face. I cannot go a day without using this.
Last but not least are my blushes!
Covergirl Trublend Mineral Blush- $7.94. I really do like this blush! I have it in Shimmering Sands and the color is so pretty. It's a very light pink with little hints of gold. It really brightens up my face and makes it look very fresh!
e.l.f. Blush- I am not the hugest fan of this blush but it was only $3 and I do use it when I am wanting more of a matte blush rather than the shimmery blush. I have the Elf blush in Tickled Pink and I wish I had it in a bit of a darker shade. It's a very coral/orange color that works well with my lilly white skin.
There you have it! That is all the makeup that I use for my face/skin. This was a very long post and I do apologize if you got bored a bit but I wanted to cover all the bases. I hope a few of you found this interesting and helpful! I would love to hear about your makeup and what you think about these products. Also, if you have any suggestions on other products you think I may like please feel free to leave them in the comments!
I will be back tomorrow night with a look into what I use for my eyes!

Just Being Girly
Hi there!
I realize that this is my first ever post and probably will have all but 0 people read this, but everyone has to start somewhere. Right? I am not quite sure where I want this blog to go. Will it be a beauty/fashion blog? A "look what I tried from Pinterest and failed at!" blog? Or will it be one of those daily entrance blogs? I am very much leaning towards the beauty/fashion style but we will just have to wait and see once the ball starts to really roll. For my first post I really wanted to talk about something that I know and that would be my skin care routine! Quick disclaimer: I am not a makeup/skin care expert! I have not been trained or have worked in a shop where I would be fluent in the makeup arts. I just simply do what I have learned from other blogs and have picked up my little tricks throughout my lifetime.
Okay, now that's out of the way I wanted to start with my skin care routine! I would say I have normal to dry skin and had clear skin all up until I turned 19. I'm pretty sure on the day of my 19th birthday I was stricken by the acne god and had pimple face. I tried every type of drugstore face wash I could get my hands on and nothing would work. I was so so SO frustrated! I kept seeing all the TV adds about Proactive and how it worked for all these people and bit the bullet and got some for myself. IT WORKED! I was blown away. I still do get blemishes here and there and my forehead still hasn't been completely cleared but it's a huge improvement to what it used to be.
Okay, back to routine.
I do believe that the Proactive cleanser works much better with a fresh face so if I do have makeup on (which is 99% of the time) I will first wash my makeup off with Philosophy's Purity. Also, a little life hack I have found, I wash off all my eye makeup with Johnson's Baby Oil. It really helps at getting that stubborn mascara off. I would recommend this to everyone who is looking for a very simple cleanser. Once all the makeup is off my face I will then us the Proactive Solutions Renewing Cleanser. After my face feels all clean I will then use the Proactive Solutions Revitalizing Toner. Now to be completely honest I don't really know what this toner does. I don't use it on a regular basis like I probably should. My next step is to then hydrate my face and I really love Olay's Active Hydrating Beauty Fluid Lotion in Original. I have used this moisturizer ever since I have started wearing makeup (which was my freshman year of high school). It's a really light lotion that I can tell just helps my pores breath. Now, I will change up my routine every once in a while when I am having a particularly bad acne area and use the Proactive Solutions Refining Mask. I will use it as a whole face mask and leave it on for about 10 minutes or I will use it to cover just one little blemish and leave it on all night. It really does the job of minimizing those little pimples and your pores, but it does have the one drawback of smelling very medicated.
My night skin care routine is very similar except for I only wash my face with Purity. I don't like to use the Proactive cleanser twice a day for I have found that it will really dry out my skin if I do. I have been doing this routine for about a year now and have been loving how it makes my skin feel. I wouldn't mind switching things up and finding a new moisturizer but I feel like if I did I would just use the new product a little and then go back to what I know and love.
I hope this wan't too rambley for you and that maybe you have learned a new trick for keeping your skin nice and blemish free! I would really love to hear what your routine is or any tips and tricks that you have learned! I am always looking for new ways to keep good care of my skin. I do plan on posing my foundation/skin makeup collection later on tonight and an eye makeup collection blog tomorrow!
